International renowned virtuoso performs for Belgian youth
American renowned pianist and virtuoso Roman Rudnytsky toured Belgium end of September/early October. At various places, from the Royal Conservatory in Brussels to Music Academies in Hasselt and Genk, Rudnitsky gave master classes and intrigued students with his technique and theoretical expertise.
Mr. Rudnytsky played pieces by European and American composers and entertained the student and faculty audiences with interesting details and historical background of each composition. He also participated in several programs at the Music Academy in Izegem which included interesting and lively discussions with music teachers of the local academies as well as a concert for over a hundred students, teachers and music lovers.
During his tour through Belgium Roman Rudnytsky explained each piece of the program and answered lots of questions from young Belgians ranging from "how come you can memorize all these pieces" to "do you never get bored with playing piano." One of the youngsters, currently a finalist in a Belgian piano competition, played one of his competition pieces for which Mr. Rudnytsky gave critical advice.
